Still in school? Try Schulpraktikum Games.

We don't offer school internships directly, but there is a great way in. Schulpraktikum Games is a school internship program organised by an external partner with Hamburg game studios, schools and Initiative Creative Gaming e.V., and InnoGames is proud to be one of the host studios. You explore Game Design and Programming through studio visits, workshops and project work, and it counts as an official part of your school curriculum.

Career starter questions

  • Yes, and we have since the company was founded in 2007, to help counter the shortage of skilled professionals. Most of our apprenticeships are in development, with several positions every year. Every 2 to 3 years we also offer apprenticeships in System Administration, Marketing and Art.

All current apprenticeships are listed under “Career Starters” in our open positions. If none are listed, we are already fully staffed for the upcoming training year.

  • Yes, in different departments. Because we want both sides to benefit, our internships last at least six months, and we only offer them when there is a need and we can give you our full support.

All current internships are listed under “Career Starters” in our open positions.

  • Not directly with us. If you're in 9th grade in Hamburg, the way in is Schulpraktikum Games, a school internship program run by our partners with several Hamburg game studios, where InnoGames is one of the hosts.

Our own internships last at least six months, because we want to make sure every intern gets a high-quality experience and the support to learn something meaningful.

  • Because so many students are currently completing their combined Bachelor's and Master's studies with us, we don't have the capacity to support external theses.

  • We offer the InnoMaster program, a combined study program focused on Development or Business (for example, Software Development, Data Engineering or Marketing). Unlike a dual study program, you study part-time while working part-time at InnoGames, so there is no rotation in monthly blocks between university and on-the-job training.

All current combined study programs are listed under “Career Starters” in our open positions.
